Wee Workout owner and lead instructor, Sally
Crescioli,
has over twenty years experience teaching young children. She has lived her
passion for working with wee ones as a children’s dance instructor, swimming
teacher, and early primary teacher in the public schools.

Sally
was awarded the Ercia Harden Teaching Excellence
Award in Monterey
County
in 1995. In 1998 she was chosen to
represent SLO county as part of a teacher exchange
program to China.
In addition, she represented California
as an ambassador to Japan
in the 1999 Fulbright Memorial Fund program. Sally
was a founding member of the Under Construction Network in Monterey
County,
where she worked to implement Piaget’s
constructivist theory of child development in the schools. She worked on a master’s
degree in education with an emphasis in constructivist theory and presented at
numerous conferences, including a national conference in Atlanta,
Georgia.
She was a mentor teacher and demonstration classroom for Early Intervention for
School Success, a program that trains teachers and parents in child growth and
development and strategies for working with young children.

Upon the birth of her daughter, Sophia,
Sally
left teaching in the public schools. Wee
Workout now allows her to combine her love for
children, teaching, theatre arts, dance, movement and fitness. Her gentle, yet
joyful manner draws young children to her. Her expertise in
early childhood education make her an invaluable resource for parents.
